Senior Security Engineer
Our client currently requires a Senior Security Engineer to develop & implement information security policies, procedures & standards to protect data. You will be working with relevant departments to realize procedures & systems for the protection & preservation of proprietary & personal data.
The candidate will assess & interpret customer requirements and solve problems & conduct analyses. The work is generally self-directed and not structured. You will identify solutions to arising problems. You will works with minimal guidance; with guidance only on the most complex tasks. Translate concepts into practice; provide information to others on relevant issues, support & execute the vendor's lifecycle process from information risk/security perspective, support budget activities process. Prepare and training for team members on vendor risk assessments and enhance its development with linkages from Business/ sourcing /procurement/VMO teams etc. Maintain knowledge on information security issues & their applicability plan reqs. Ensure vendor compliance to business agreements/ regs along & compliance reqs.
Experience and Skills Required.
Degree in IT or related. Three yrs + exp in Internal / departmental/ vendor information security/ audits/assessments. Ability to manage audit / projects independently/ security expertise/ security risk assessment frameworks, standards ISO27001 HITRUST ITIL, NIST/Octave. Good knowledge of ISO standards/ frameworks.
An advantage to have a CISM/CISA/CISSP/ ISO27001 Implementer/ Auditor cert, exp in SSAE 16 Audit report, audit exp on ISO27001. Strong communication/ presentation skills. You can be based anywhere on the island of Ireland for this role, working remotely. You can also be based in house, t he Irish Headquarters of this role is based in Donegal, a beautiful region of rural Ireland with an Institute of technology, hospital and all the modern conveniences of a city in a town.
