JOB DESCRIPTION

HR Business Partner

 

1.      JOB PURPOSE

The HR Business Partner is responsible for driving our People Strategy and delivering the full spectrum of HR deliverables that align with the business strategic goals and objectives enabled by people.

 

2.      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/KNOWLEDGE

 

Formal Education

  • Degree in Human Resources Management/Business related discipline or equivalent.
  • CIPD Accredited.
  • Full, clean driving licence with 2 years’ experience is essential.

Work Experience

 

  • Minimum 5 years HR Business Partnering experience gained within a multisite and fast paced environment with a strong foundation in employment law and industrial relations experience.
  • Experience of working autonomously and the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to build up relationships with all levels of employees within the business.
  • Business driven and people focused with excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing, change management and team working skills.

Skills and Knowledge

 

  • Excellent knowledge of Human Resources best practices including Performance Management, Compensation and Rewards, Recruitment, Learning and Organisational Development, Employee Engagement and Talent Management.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent working knowledge of HRIS.
  • High attention to detail.

3.      JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

Job Area and KRAs (What is done, and to what, and why)

1.

Act as a single point of contact for the Employees and Manager, in the business area and work in alignment with the HR Leadership team to ensure a seamless and responsive HR service to the customer base.

2.

Ensure that the business area people resources are optimized within and across the business area, focusing on employee productivity, effectiveness, performance management and development to promote a high performance culture aligned with the Company’s strategic objectives and to ensure employees competencies are being developed effectively.

3.

To act as a People Champion of the Company’s culture and values – focusing on the employee’s wellbeing and facilitating the management team to bring best solutions for employees.

4.

Proactively support the delivery of HR processes and programmes e.g. workforce planning, capability development, performance management, coaching, talent management, compensation and rewards, HR projects, employee engagement initiatives etc., enhancing the employee lifecycle and in turn, the organisation’s effectiveness.

5.

To work and assist managers with talent acquisition to ensure timely workforce planning of suitably qualified employees (internal & external) to meet current and future business requirements within agreed timelines to meet goals and objectives.

6.

Design succession plans for key talents and key job positions.  Provide advice to managers on talent development, succession planning, reward management and in coaching leaders to enhance performance/effectiveness.

7.

Report on employee profile, retention, attrition, employee health and wellbeing, employee relations, engagement and communication, and any other necessary data ensuring that all people decisions are based on data.  Actively identify gaps, proposes and implement changes necessary to cover risks.

8.

Lead the people aspect of the change plan and act as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in people management in support of the business strategy.

9.

Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on the full range of complex employee/industrial relations issues, in accordance with employment legislation, company policies and best practice to ensure appropriate delivery of ER/IR services to internal customers.

10.

Understand the Learning and Organisational Development needs of the Company and act as a liaison/support to the Learning and Organisation Development Team to deliver on the capability needs of employees, managers and leaders within the business area.

11.

Develop and maintain an effective and compliant HR administrative service, ensuring legal compliance on employment related matters.

5.      OPERATING ENVIRONMENT

  • This role will based within the relevant region and will entail travel to multiple sites based in Ireland.
